Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar is in Brazil for the next leg of her Beauty with a Purpose trip to advocate against leprosy. She was welcomed by the second princess of Miss Brasil Mundo 2017 Daniele Arruda at the airport.
Leprosy is a contagious disease that affects the skin, mucous membranes, and nerves, causing discolouration and lumps on the skin and, in severe cases, disfigurement and deformities. Brazil has the second highest rate of Leprosy in the world.
On her arrival Manushi, wearing a silver embroidered suit by Gaurav Gupta, looked ever so gorgeous. She was welcomed by First Lady of the State Professor Lucia Franca at the Government Palace of the State of São Paulo. She discussed the various social projects supported by the state of São Paulo with the Miss World queen.
After a few serious discussions, Manushi headed out to the municipal market of São Paulo with Mr. World Brazil 2018 Carlos Franco. The Miss World queen tried various exotic fruits at the market and was very happy to see spices at the market, saying it reminded her of home.
Manushi also met Henrique Fontes, the director of the National Beauty Contest which crowns Miss Mundo Brasil. Along with Miss Mundo Brasil 2017 Gabrielle Vilela, Manushi was received by Apae- DF in Brasilia.
For her Beauty with a Purpose advocacy, Manushi met the organization of Apae-DF that primarily serves people with intellectual and multiple disabilities. She met the children who welcomed her with the most genuine smiles. She also paid a visit to Brasilia to support the Association of Parents and Friends of Exceptional People of the Federal District (Apae-DF),
On her visit, Henrique Fontes remarked, “On the responsibility of correctly translating the words of someone who with maximum spontaneity says the right thing at the right time, touching hearts and impressing everyone with their sensitivity, intelligence, charisma and sense of responsibility. Manushi Chhillar it is these light-filled people who really make a difference. What an honor and joy to work with Miss World! What an honor to have this Miss World so enlightened and that has captivated and thrilled all of us!”

Manushi was also welcomed to Brasilia by the ambassador of India to Brazil in a magnificent dinner. Also present were representatives of APAE-DF, the first lady of the Federal District, the Miss Brazil World 2017 Gabrielle Vilela, Mister World Brasil 2018 Carlos Franco, Miss Brasília CNB Isabela Schott , the charming actress Maria Paula, the director of CNB Brasil and the director of Miss and Mister Brasília CNB.
To show her utmost care and responsibility towards these special children Manushi also walked the ramp wearing dresses created especially by the Taiana Mioto designer for the occasion of the VIP Hearts event of APAE-DF will be auctioned with the income reverted to APAE-DF.
Well, all we would like to say is that our Miss World is definitely the queen of all the hearts of the world.
