Miss World 2018 head-to-head challenge final round was held last night to select ten contestants who would advance to be part of the Top 30 finalists at the pageant finale. The twenty group winners presented their respective beauty with a purpose project to the jury which comprised of Miss World 2013 Megan Young of Philippines, Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle Diaz of Puerto Rico and Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar of India.

It was a one-on-one direct contest where each group winner was pitted against another group winner and based on majority voting of the jury, one of the two was selected to be the winner to advance to Top 30.

Below are the 10 winners of head-to-head challenge finale, and their opponent whom they defeated to win this round –

Mauritius v/s France

Anne Murielle Ravina of Mauritius beat Maëva Coucke of France to win the challenge. Maëva Coucke has already advanced to Top 30 by winning the Top Model challenge.

Venezuela v/s Philippines

It was a tough contest with two very strong contenders for the title competing against each other and Veruska Ljubisavljevic of Venezuela emerged as the winner with Manushi and Stephanie voting for her beating Katarina Sonja Rodriguez of the Philippines, who received Megan’s vote for her presentation. Thankfully, for Katarina, this was not an elimination and she surely has a chance to make it to Top 30 finalists at the finale.

Nigeria v/s Bangladesh

Jannatul Ferdous Oishee of Bangladesh was the unanimous choice of the jury as she beat Anita Ukah of Nigeria.

Chile v/s Lebanon

Anahí Hormazabal Garay of Chile was the unanimous choice of the jury as she beat Mira Al Toufaily of Lebanon.

Malaysia v/s Guadeloupe

Larissa Ping Liew of Malaysia was the unanimous choice of the jury as she beat Morgane Thérésine of Guadeloupe.

Myanmar v/s India

Anukreethy Vas of India received the votes of Megan and Manushi in her favour to defeat Han Thi Thet Lwin of Myanmar who received the vote of Stephanie. Even though Han Thi lost this round, we would love to see her advancing to the Top 30 finalists at the finale!

Nepal v/s Singapore

Vanessa Annelise Peh of Singapore was the unanimous choice of the jury as she beat Shrinkhala Khatiwada of Nepal. Shrinkhala has so far performed very well in the contest, and we would like to see her advance to the Top 30 finalists at the finale!

Thailand v/s Bulgaria

Nicolene Pichapa Limsnukan of Thailand was the unanimous choice of the jury as she beat Kalina Miteva of Bulgaria.

Mexico v/s Trinidad & Tobago

Vanessa Ponce de León of Mexico outsmarted Ysabel Bisnath of Trinidad & Tobago to win this round with all judges voting in favour of her excellent presentation.

Argentina v/s Uganda

Quiin Abenakyo of Uganda managed to get full support from the jury to beat Victoria Soto of Argentina, and this is probably the first time ever that Uganda has made to the Top 30 finalists of Miss World contest. It’s good to see Quiin advancing as she is surely the most promising contestant from Africa in Miss World 2018.

So, we have contestants from Mauritius, Venezuela, Bangladesh, Chile, Malaysia, India, Singapore, Thailand, Mexico and Uganda as the ten winners of the head-to-head challenge round and who are now part of the Top 30 finalists for Miss World 2018.

The contestants from France, Japan and USA have already made to Top 30 finalists by virtue of winning the top model, talent and sports competitions respectively.
