Miss World 2021 Top 40: Audrey Monkam representing Cameroon

The 70th edition of Miss World, i.e. Miss World 2021, will be held on 16th March 2022 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In a recent announcement made by the Miss World organization, Top 40 delegates were selected to enter the final leg of the competition.

In a series of features, here are the forty delegates, in no particular order, (15 from the fast-track competitions and 25 through judges’ choice) who will fly to Puerto Rico for the coronation night.

 

 

Audrey Monkam representing Cameroon won a spot in Top 40 by winning the Head-to-Head fast track challenge. Audrey was also adjudged first runner-up at the Top Model Competition. Audrey Monkam is 24 years of age and hails from Bali Nyonga. She is a banking and finance graduate who stands 5 feet 11 inches tall.

Monkam is no stranger to pageants as she represented Cameroon in Miss Earth 2018. She was crowned Miss Beach Cameroon 2017 and joined Miss FENAC Cameroon 2016 where she placed first runner-up. With her experience, she sure is a strong contender for the crown.

 

 

It is for the first time in history that Cameroon has won a top placement at Miss World. For achieving this feat, Monkam took to her official social media as she wrote, “For the first time in history, you all accompanied me in placing Cameroon amongst the top 30 at the 70th Edition of Miss World, 2 place as well for Miss world top model and I’m grateful to God for that. Do not forget we still work to do as we have the finals for miss world come 16th March 2022 and so votings are still ongoing as well on the respective platforms.”

With her previous experience in representing Cameroon at an international stage, her charming personality and determination to do well, Audrey will definitely be a strong contender for the coveted Miss World crown. Cameroon is yet to pioneer its win at Miss World.
