The finale of Miss World 2021, the 70th edition of Miss World, will be held on 16th March 2022 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In a recent announcement made by the Miss World organization, Top 40 delegates were selected to enter the final leg of the competition.
In a series of features, here are the forty delegates, in no particular order, (15 from the fast-track competitions and 25 through judges’ choice) who will fly to Puerto Rico for the coronation night. Svetlana Mamaeva representing Canada has secured a spot in Top 40 by being one of the judges’ choice winners.
Svetlana Mamaeva is 25 years of age and stands 180 cm tall. She is fluent in Romanian, English and Russian. The Canadian beauty graduated with a degree in Business and Finance. Svetlana is currently working as an analyst for a Real Estate Company and has ambitions to one day be a University Professor.
Svetlana Mamaeva has created a free financial education program aimed at empowering women for her BWAP. Svetlana created ‘FinPowered’, a free financial education program aimed to help women navigate through the current crisis through financial education.

To date, Svetlana has hosted 7 workshops, visited local shelters and conducted seminars in person and online. Her aim is to complete at least 50 presentations, using her platform as Miss World Canada to help as many women as possible in Canada and around the world.
On making it to Top 40, Svetlana took to her official social media to express her emotions in a post captioned, “Miss World just announced the 25 judges’ choices to advance to the finals taking place in March and I am so happy to be one of them ???? This is the first time that Canada has placed in Miss World finals since 2013 and I am so so grateful! Huge respect and my warmest wishes to all the contestants, it was such a gift to get to know you and to make friends from nearly 100 countries! I am extremely grateful for everyone’s support - a big thank you to my friends, family and Miss World Canada Organization! I hope to make you proud and very excited for my journey to continue.”
