Miss USA 2014 Elizabeth Safrit took to her official Facebook account to announce that she would be parting ways with the Miss World Organization in the coming week. On 28th January 2018, Elizabeth explained her decision to not renew the contract for 2018. She also disclosed that her family won’t be renewing the license for the national organization.

Last year, Elizabeth and her mother, Lynne, had decided to take over the franchise in the United States and introduce a Teen pageant along with the Miss World America contest. They even held one edition of Miss World America in Florida in 2017 where Clarissa Bowers from Miami was crowned the queen.

In the announcement earlier this week, Elizabeth wrote –

Explaining her decision, Elizabeth replied to a fan’s question, “I've been under contract with MWO since 2014. Crazy it's been that long! It was simply a business decision, no hard feelings. Just not the right fit to do business together- too varied in our strategy and belief of what we should be doing in the US. I wish them all the best and I'll always be a fan!"

After Elizabeth’s decision, the Miss World Organization is expected to announce their new license holder in the United States in the coming months.
