As Miss World Australia 2017 Esma Voloder prepares to crown her successor in the upcoming Miss World Australia 2018 to be held tomorrow, there is no doubt that the gorgeous Australian beauty queen has left a mark in the pageantry with her extraordinary performance and the fierce will to bring about a significant change in the world.

Born in a refugee camp while her parents escaped the Bosnian war, Esma relocated to Australia with her family. She completed her graduation in Psychology and presently works as a criminal profiler in Melbourne. Isn’t her profession so interesting?

The 26-year-old gorgeous beauty was crowned Miss World Australia 2017 on 14th July 2017 where she competed with twenty-seven other ladies and won the coveted crown. Esma then went on to represent Australia at Miss World 2017 where she failed to secure a place in the Top 40 delegates.

Esma Voloder was not new to the pageant world when she won the Miss World Australia title. Prior to this, Esma was also Miss Supranational Australia 2013 and went on to represent Australia at Miss Supranational 2013. She placed in the Top 10 semi-finalists in the coveted competition. In 2014, Voloder represented Australia at Miss Globe International and was crowned as Miss Globe International 2014 at the conclusion of the finale held on 14th September 2014 in Azerbaijan.

Esma, a believer of Islam, tried to clear the misconception that her religion is surrounded with through her reign. In her own words, she explained, “The Islam that I know, that is in the Koran, I don't associate that with any acts that are occurring around the world. People tend to blame religion for the atrocities that are happening, but if we do that we take responsibility away from the individuals.”

Not just a pretty face, Esma sure has made a difference with her titles all around the world. As she prepares to crown her successor in the upcoming Miss World Australia 2018, one can only hope that her successor can carry on with the good work that she has done throughout her reign.
