María Beatriz Daza Nuñez succeeds Miss Mundo Colombia 2016 Shirley Atehortua, and will now represent Colombia at Miss World 2017 pageant to be held in China later this year.

Miss Mundo Colombia organisation was established in the year 1990. And since 1992, the organisation has been sending representatives to the pageant. Edgar Botero, an engineer by profession, is the president of the organisation.
The Executive Director is Katherine Prieto Botero who is a Dentist by profession.
