Camila Pinzón rose to fame when she became the first ever delegate from Boyaca to be crowned Miss Mundo Colombia 2022 (Miss World Colombia 2022) in August 2022 at the Military Club of Army Officers in the city of Bogotá. Ever since, the stunning beauty queen has been preparing to compete at the upcoming edition of Miss World.
Camila was 26 when she was crowned Miss World Colombia 2022. The beauty queen was born in Duitama, Boyacá. Being a multilingual, Camila speaks fluently in Spanish, English, French and Italian. She completed her elementary and high school education at Colegio Campestre Suazapawa in Nobsa, Boyacá. Later, Camila lived between France and England to study for her undergraduate and master's degrees in International business and Marketing at the Sorbonne University and Cambridge University.
Ever since her coronation, Camila has had dialogues at United Nations discussing around education and the rights of the children which is also a part of her Beauty with a Purpose Project. She also went to Kenya in January to talk about education for children. “I can now leave Kenya with the tranquility of knowing that these children will be able to pursue an education having the necessary books and school material, therefore also securing a brighter future”, she wrote.
Camila also received the Ambassador for peace award this month from the Universal Peace Federation where she acknowledged that the Beauty with a purpose philosophy motivated her as well to plant seeds of hope and peace on a daily basis. She also applauded the outstanding efforts and actions of the Miss World organization in order to contribute to world peace and she feels proud to belong to Miss World family.
Camila is excited to begin her journey at Miss World 2023 after so much postponement. She visited India and Nepal in December last year to advocate for her BWAP and set up her eductional initiatives to foster better relationship between the countries. "MISS WORLD! 3 Weeks to go! My heart fills with joy and excitement as I reaffirm my engagement with all my fellow Colombians ???? to keep giving my best and to represent my beloved country with pride", she wrote.
Miss World 2023, the 71st edition of the Miss World, will be held in India in March 2024 where Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
