The diva has always been interested in social work as well, she clowned in two Quito Hospitals in the children's area. In tough times like now, she has been actively urging people to stay at home and follow the guideline WHO has been asking people to do to stop the spread of the virus. The diva wants to make the world or at least her surroundings a better place to live and she feels that the stage would help her achieve that. Melissa has a thesis and studies already carried out on HIV in the country, and would like to work with this vulnerable group that has always been discriminated against. She also wants to achieve a very strong campaign for the prevention of traffic accidents nationwide.

She stated, "I am convinced that achieving awareness in people would prevent many accidents with victims every day. I consider that being part of Miss World is an incredible opportunity to demonstrate that beauty must be comprehensive. That the objectives and goals that we set ourselves are they can fulfill if we are constant and disciplined. Women can achieve everything we set out to do and help many vulnerable sectors of society if we set ourselves the goal of working for the common good. "

Melissa loves reading and dancing. She has worked as a TV presenter for a children’s channel, in which she won an international contest. She is beautiful, confident, and positive about things turning well for her and she would give her best at the competition. With her strong delegation and confidence, we feel that she can be the winner and represent Ecuador at Miss World 2020 stage. She has started to prep herself for the competition and we’d like to wish her all the best.
