At the conclusion of the finale of Miss World Hungary 2018 (Magyarország Szépe 2018) held last night, Andrea Szarvas defeated other 15 finalists vying for the crown to emerge as the winner, and earn the privilege to represent Hungary in Miss World 2018 international beauty pageant to be held in Sanya, China on 8th December 2018.
Andrea, who is just 19 years of age and also won the audience award for Miss Beautiful Smile, was crowned by her predecessor and outgoing queen, Virág Koroknyai, Miss World Hungary 2017. Virág, who represented Hungary last year in Miss World 2017, was placed amongst Top 20 in the Miss World finale.
Patrícia Galambos (20) and Eszter Nikolett Józsa (21) finished as the runners-up, while Szimonetta Fekszi (23) and Panni Tóth (19) were the other top 5 finalists.
The sixteen beauties who competed for the event, other than above, were Tiky Bui, Rebeka Kiss, Petra Noll, Barbara Ollári, Mirtill Magicz, Dóra Mészáros, Dóra Szakálos, Dominika Doszkocs, Bianka Glonczi, Bianka Kántor, and Vivien Kovács.
The beauties paraded on the stage in swimwear, national costumes, and evening dresses in the backdrop of live singing performances. After each round, two candidates were eliminated, leaving the Top 10 finalists from amongst whom the Top 5 were then announced. The finale was hosted by Kraszkó Zita and Kovács Kokó István.
