The Miss World Hungary organization recently hosted a private crowning ceremony for the 2021 edition where Tótpeti Lili was crowned as The Beauty of Hungary 2021 as she won the opportunity to represent Hungary at the upcoming Miss World 2021 pageant. Lili succeded Miss World Hungary 2019 Krisztina Nagypál for the title.
Hailing from Nagykanizsa, 19 years-old Lili graduated last year from grammar school. She has appeared in several modeling campaigns, and takes part in show jumping with her horse. She is currently a student of the Budapest University of Economics. The court queens of the beauty queen were Nikolett Ambrus from Dunavarsány, and Panni Tóth from Debrecen.
As Miss World Hungary 2019 Krisztina Nagypál passed her crown, she shared an emotional message as she wrote, “As a little girl, I have always dreamed of ever setting off in the beauty of Hungary. I always watched the race, the beautiful girls. In 2019, the encouragement of my friends and dear followers gave me such a boost that I dared to take the first step towards my dream and applied for the race I had longed for. I made a lot, it came with a lot of resignations, but only one goal floated before my eyes.”
“Tomorrow will be the LAST day when I can put on the crown! It is an unconscious feeling, as I have been able to own this title for the longest time. Unfortunately, due to the epidemic situation last year, they were unable to keep up with the competition. I have a lot of emotions in me now, I hope that tomorrow the dream of a wonderful girl will come true and then she will worthily represent our country at the World Championships in Puerto Rico,” she added.
In the last edition of Miss World 2019 pageant, Krisztina Nagypál represented the country with a stellar performance throughout the competition and finished among the Top 40 finalists, making her country proud. This year, for the 70th Miss World pageant, Lili will represent Hungary at the Miss World 2021, to be held on December 16, 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
