Miss World Nepal 2018 Shrinkhala Khatiwada as a speaker in the key session ‘Youth for Nepal’ in Kantipur Conclave

The Kantipur Media Group held its first ever Kantipur Conclave in Kathmandu on 17th February 2019 at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Kathmandu. The inauguration of the two-day event was committed by the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The event was organized by keeping a motive of holding discussions about the current economic condition of Nepal. The youth aimed panel discussion witnessed conversation on far-ranging ideas and issues, embracing entrepreneurship, social media and freedom of speech.

Besides this, Miss World Nepal 2018 Shrinkhala Khatiwada was fortunate enough to have found the opportunity to be a part of this colossal event. She appeared in as the speaker in the key session round of the panel discussion about ‘Youth for Nepal’. Lex Limbu, Founder, Tracing Nepal, Sixt Bhatta, Co-founder & CEO, Tootle and Sumnima Udas, Founder& Director, Museum of Buddhism & Sacred Spaces were along with her in the panel discussion.

The conclave brought together the prominent speakers and the participants from across the world to manifest their perspective on various issues that Nepal is facing currently and appropriate solutions to the problems in order to drive the country forward towards development.

During the course of key session in the event, the gorgeous beauty Shrinkhala expressed her thoughts in her words as she spoke, “I also live by the same motto this forum has: If we can dream it, we can do it and We just need more positive energy” as she kept her concerns about the optimism.

Moreover, she argued to generate awareness of the blind progress and modernity and spoke, “That we love modern architecture should not mean that we should compete with modernist cities like Dubai,” in addition to this she spoke, “We need to look at our ancient architecture, preserve them and cash in on them.”

The panel of the discussion thus ended up with some of the questions raised from the audience end and one out of them was how Nepal could better engage with labourers who travel to the Middle East and then return with skills. In reference to this, Shrinkhala answered that “All the hard work that our labourers do abroad can be done in Nepal too”, suggesting that the workers could be welcomed to train others and produce more efficient and skilful manpower within the country itself.

This event was, therefore, a wide platform to share innovative ideas and rendering suggestions for the ultimate development of the country.
