Nepal has become one of the rising countries in the pageantry, specially Miss World, where it has won top placement consecutively in the recent years. While there was no edition held in 2020, Nepal managed to place in the Top in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Now, the question remains if Namrata Shrestha, Nepal’s representative to Miss World 2021, will continue the streak of top placement this year.

Namrata Shrestha won the Miss Nepal 2020 crown as she beat twenty contestants at the finale held in December last year. She won the right to represent Nepal at Miss World in 2020 but since there was no edition held, she was given the right to represent her country at Miss World 2021. She also won a cash prize of NPR 250,000 and a brand-new Yamaha Fascino Scooter.

Born and brought up in Kathmandu, Namrata is a sociology student and a kindergarten teacher by profession. This was the second attempt for Namrata in Miss Nepal as in 2016, she stood among the Top 5 finalists. She aspires to become an impactful educator and bring a change in children’s lives through better education facilities in her country.

In 2017, Nikita Chandak represented Nepal at Miss World 2017 and placed in Top 40. She also placed in Top 30 at the Top Model preliminary competition. Through her amazing advocacy, Nikita also placed as the second runner-up at the Multimedia competition.
