Leonie is 25 years old.

She has thoroughly explained her personality and life on the official website of Miss World Netherlands.

Her bio reads:

I am an energetic and enthusiastic business administration student and am in the final phase of my study. I live in the Achterhoek, but for my work I also live partly in Amsterdam. I find both places delicious; the peace and quiet in the Achterhoek and the chaos in Amsterdam .. an ideal balance!

I am a down-to-earth, enthusiastic and creative spirit who delivers daring and common sense in the right dose. As a student I already thought outside the box. That is why I have chosen a minor tax advice and am now studying in the legal field. In addition to my studies, I do a lot of modeling work at home and abroad. I do this with so much love and passion, here I really want to work full-time!

Besides my modeling and study, I like to be active. I am very athletic and love strength training, but also a run through the woods. I also have three horses at home. I ride a lot of horses from an early age and am active in jumping. Young horses I like the most. Teaching, training and delivering on the races gives me a lot of satisfaction! Besides working out, I am a real social person. I like to drink, eat, dance with friends and girlfriends. I also love traveling. I have always been very interested in other cultures. In the wide world you discover a side of life that you can never get out of the school books. When you manage to travel in foreign countries, volunteer work, learn to eat unusual things and become friends with the most unexpected people, you can do everything. I have already pushed a lot of boundaries and I am not finished with it yet.

We wish the newly crowned queen all the best for the upcoming Miss World 2018 pageant in Sanya, China, later this year.
