The Fiipina is all up for the charity event, and is busy promoting the event among her fans. Catriona has even put up some of her artwork for sale at the event. During one of her interviews recently, Catriona expressed her views on why she joined the Miss World pageant and what motivated her to enter the world of pageants. She said, “It actually started because I was volunteering at the time. [Valerie introduced me to] Miss World, and I saw how she got mileage from her advocacy. I thought it would be nice if I could raise awareness for my own charity. It’s not about the glamour, and that’s what intrigued me most about Miss World.”

In the recent past, beauty queens have become really active about their advocacy and their duties. Take for example, Kylie Verzosa who has been working really hard to promote awareness about Depression, which is a fast growing yet not much talked about problem in our society.
