Fourniol was born and raised in France to a Filipina mother Sim Fourniol and French father Thierry Fourniol. She is also pursuing her bachelor's degree in economics from the Oxford Brookes University in London, England.

Her Beauty with a Purpose project is titled ‘Bridge the Gap, Build the Future’. With her advocacy, Gwen has been working hard with different stakeholders to raise funds and gather resources to make the ERDA Learning Hub a reality.

“One of the biggest problems we are facing in the world right now is the lack of fair access to quality education and part of this problem is the large-scale shortfall in infrastructure, teachers, and other learning tools. By building the Learning Hub, and providing opportunities for growth to the community around it, I hope to do my humble part in bridging the gap in education in my own country so that I may be able to help less privileged children build their own bigger and brighter futures in the same way that ERDA did for my mother”, Gwen quoted.

Gwen Fourniol also spent time at ERDA Foundation. After weeks of careful planning and coordination, they conducted an ocular inspection of the site where they hope to build a Learning Hub for the children of Manila. Located inside the BASECO Compound, the 25 sq. m. lot is to be transformed into a 2-storey building where ERDA students can come to learn.

With her strong advocacy, her stunning beauty and the drive to achieve a strong position for her country at Miss World in the upcoming months, Gwen will surely be a strong contender for the Miss World 2023 crown. If she wins, she will become the second Miss World winner from the Philippines.
