With the preparations in full swing for Miss Universe 2020, the delegates have begun to head to the USA to represent their respective countries at the coveted pageant. However, as the list of delegates are being put on the official website, there is one name that seems to be absent and she is Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 Thuzar Wint Lwin.

Amidst the political crisis happening in the country right now, Candy Thuzar might not be able to represent her country at the 69th edition of Miss Universe. Earlier, Candy participated in protests demanding the release of leader Aung San Suu Kyi. The protests happening in Myanmar caught the world's attention as the leader of Myanmar's National Alliance for Democracy Party Chairman Aung San Suu Kyi was arrested by a group of coups. Extremely angry and protesting people, including Candy Thuzar, have took to the streets in demand for democracy.

Being a true beauty queen, Candy demanded the release of Mrs. Aung, despite the possibility that she might be stripped of her title for participating in things related to politics. In Myanmar, a Miss Universe representative has weight and position in society as the diva’s words represents a whole class of women.

Currently, the US, the United Nations and world allies have asked Myanmar to release the leaders and politicians or otherwise impose heavy sanctions on Myanmar. Candy has been receiving strong support by the international pageant community and it would sure be a pity if Candy is not able to make it to Miss Universe 2020 and voice out her opinion in front of the world.
