Puteri Indonesia 2022, the 25th Puteri Indonesia pageant, is scheduled to be held on 27th May 2022 at Jakarta Convention Centre, Jakarta, Indonesia, where stunning finalists from all over the country will represent their respective province and compete for the national title.

While, the provincial finalists are preparing for the big day, two divas have recently announced their official resignation from the competition, Puteri Indonesia Bali 2022 Jazmine Rowe and Puteri Indonesia West Sulawesi 2022. Defanda Azzahra. Bali’s Jazmine announced her retirement at Puteri Indonesia 2022 recently and has come as a shock for pageant lovers who have been anticipating her big come back as the diva was emerging as a potential winner for this year’s title.

Before Jaz, Defanda resigned on the grounds of his health condition and was replaced by Maycela Apriany. Both the ladies announced their withdrawal before the pre-orientation.Even though there are speculations around the reasons of them stepping down from the competition, it is yet not confirmed. The fans and supporters have been disappointed but have come in support of their decisions.

For this year’s edition, Puteri Indonesia 2020 Raden Roro Ayu Maulida Putri of East Java, Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2020 Putu Ayu Saraswati of Bali and Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2020 Jihane Almira Chedid of Central Java, will crown their successors at the end of the event.

Indonesia withdrew its participation from Miss Universe 2021. Thus, the country will participate at Miss Universe 2022 after a gap of one year. At Miss Universe 2020, Ayu Maulida represented Indonesia and placed in Top 21. Indonesia is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Universe.
