The 2017 edition of Miss Gibraltar pageant is here, and is scheduled to be held on 8th July 2017. A total of 9 finalists are vying for the coveted title this year. Let’s give you an insight to the all the contestants, and next in the line is Sinead Benson.

18 year old Sinead Benson is a Gym Employee by profession. The beauty enjoys keeping fit and likes to socialise. Sinead speaks fluent English, Spanish & Italian. It is her dream to travel the world someday. She likes to explore the culture of different countries and wants to travel as much as she can.  Her idea of a perfect day is waking up early for breakfast, going to the gym and having a productive day out with friends.

Talking about her beautiful country, Gibraltar, Sinead says that it’s amazing how everyone works well together in co-ordination, despite of being a small community. She is competing against 8 other finalists to clinch the title of Miss Gibraltar 2017. It has been her dream to be a part of a beauty pageant someday, and now she wants to win the title. Explaining why she wants to be Miss Gibraltar, Sinead says, “I want to represent Gibraltar and participate in helping our community as well as funding for charities.”

Miss Gibraltar pageant is produced by Santos Productions for the Ministry of Culture at the Alameda Open Air Theatre. The first ever Miss Gibraltar contest was organised by the Vox Newspaper. Won by Viola Abudarham, the first election of Miss Gibraltar took place at a dance organised at the CFCA hall situated at the southern end of Main Street. One of the shocking facts is that the first Miss Gibraltar was married at the time she won the crown. It was only after the pageant was resumed in 1964, the rules were modified.
