As reported to you earlier about the first screening of Bb Pilipinas 2016 that took place yesterday, here is some update on that. The screening that was conducted successfully, had led to the announcement of top 40 shortlisted official candidates. From a total of 88 contestants, the list has been narrowed down to 40.

The 40 shortlisted contestant names are - Angela Lauren Fernando, Angelique de Leon, Angel Tripp, Anjiellica Lopez, Apreal Smith, Christianne Ramos, Dindi Parajes, Edjelyn Joy Gamboa, Janel Olafson, Jennifer Hammond, Jeslyn Santos, Jessica Gonzales, Jehza Huelar, Joana Eden, Kim Ross Williams Delos Santos, Kimberle Penchon, Kristine Estoque, Kylie Versoza, Leonalyn dela Cruz, Lina Prongoso, Loren Artajos, Maria Daziella Gange, Mariella Castillo, Marlan Flores, Maxene Medina, Nichole Manalo, Nicole Cordoves, Paula Rich Bartolome, Priscilla Kim Dela Cruz, Riana Pangindian, Sheena Dalo, Tatiana Maher and Vina Openiano.

The winner and runners-up of Binibining Pilipinas 2016 will represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2016, Miss International 2016, Miss Supranational 2016, and Miss Intercontinental 2016, and other minor global pageants such as, Miss Tourism Queen International 2016. The finale of Binibining Pilipinas 2016 is slated to be held in April 2016, wherein the reigning Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach who herself hails from Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event.
