Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is in Manila, Philippines. The beauty queen reached Manila on Thursday dressed in all black and looking all smart and sexy. Pia is in Philippines as the Pinoy beauty will lead the welcome party for candidates of 65th Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe 2016 will officially kick off from 10th of December.

Miss Indonesia Kezia Warouw, Miss Japan Sari Nakazawa, Miss Malaysia Kiran Jassal, Miss Myanmar Htet Htet Htun, Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane, Miss USA Deshauna Barber, Miss Australia Caris Tiivel, Miss Korea Jenny Kim, Miss New Zealand Tania Dawson, and Miss China Li Zhenying, are some of the contestants who are expected to arrive this week for the party.
On Tuesday, Department of Tourism (DOT) Sec. Wanda Teo made the official announcement that 11 candidates will be arriving on 10th December to attend the event slated to be held at Conrad Hotel. Teo also revealed that after the event that the contestants will be flying to Siargao on 11th December, followed by visits to Davao, Bicol, Cebu, and Vigan before the coronation night at Mall of Asia arena on January 30, 2017.
During an interview upon her arrival, Wurtzbach said, “It is going to be special. Of course, it is in the Philippines.” Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina will also attend the kick-off event. Miss Universe Organization president Paula Shugart will also grace the event.
Ahead of the finale of Miss Universe 2016, the contestants will tour around the country and will enjoy the scenic beauty of the country.
