As the world welcomed the New Year 2017, the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach made sure to send her best wishes to her fans all around the world. The beauty queen, who is holidaying in Hawaii with her boyfriend Marlon Stockinger, posted a short message for her fans on her Instagram. She captioned the video... “Starting the New Year off under the Sun! Happy New Year everyone!! What a year 2016 has been.”

Pia welcomed the new year with Marlon in Hawaii, and photos and videos of the beauty queen and her boyfriend surfaced on internet wherein the couple was seen enjoying their time together. Marlon Stockinger is a race car driver and is the first Filipino to win a formula race in Europe. Their dating rumours were confirmed by Marlon in October 2016. Marlon revealed during an interview that he feels fortunate to get to know Pia Wurtzbach on a more personal level. "It's amazing! Pia is very beautiful, of course, that is the reason why she is Miss Universe. I just feel lucky that we got to meet and we've been seeing each other," he said.
Pia will next be flying back to the Philippines for the Miss Universe 2016 pageant which is slated to be held on 30th January 2017. Throughout her reign, Pia was seen enjoying and travelling to various parts of the world, making 2016 the most memorable year of her life.
