Miss Nepal 2016 finale was held on April 8’ 2016 at Hotel Annapurna in Kathmandu. The magical coronation night of Miss Nepal 2016 culminated with the crowning of Asmi Shrestha as Miss Nepal 2016. Asmi Shrestha was crowned by her predecessor Evana Manandhar. Asmi will now represent Nepal at the forthcoming Miss World 2016 pageant.
Asmi Shrestha’s court included Roshani Khatri - first runner-up (Miss Nepal Earth 2016), and Barsha Lekhi - second runner-up (Miss Nepal International 2016).
Contestants were chosen from across the country and participated in various lectures, social work, photoshoots, interviews and etiquette lessons.
The pageant started with the contestants introducing themselves to the audience and the judges, as they sashayed the stage donning stunning red gowns. All the 19 finalists looked extremely gorgeous and thrilled at the same time.
Miss Nepal (currently known as The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal) is an annual national pageant of Nepal held in Kathmandu, Nepal since its commencement in 1994. Kathmandu Jaycees, established in 1970, organized the first Miss Nepal Beauty Pageant in 1994 on the special occasion of Kathmandu Jaycees Silver Jubilee. In 1995, to give the Miss Nepal pageant a more professional approach, senior members of Kathmandu Jaycees who were involved in organizing first Miss Nepal Pageant established The Hidden Treasure, which now annually organizes Miss Nepal Pageants.
