Catriona Gray represented the Philippines at Miss Universe 2018 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines on 18th March 2018. She was crowned as the winner at the end of the event finale. Catriona represented the Philippines at Miss World 2016 where she was placed at Top 5 and won awards including Multimedia Award, Talent Awards and Beauty with a Purpose Project award. She later went and participated in Binibining Pilipinas 2018 and was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2018. In beauty pageant history, Gray is the most successful Asian pageant crossover by placing high in both biggest international beauty pageants, Miss World and Miss Universe competitions. She continues to build her own brand after she crowned her successor Zozibini Tunzi as Miss Universe 2019. Catriona launched her website that described her as, “a singer, titleholder, and charitable spokesperson from the Philippines.”
