Riya Basnet was crowned Miss Earth Nepal 2019 at the finale of Miss Nepal 2019 hosted on 9th May 2019 at Laboratory H.S. premises, Kirtipur, Nepal. She will now represent her country in Miss Earth 2019. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Earth Nepal 2018 Priya Sigdel.
Riya is 22 years of age and hails from Kathmandu. She holds a degree of Bachelors of Business Administration from Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM). She stands 170 cm tall. She is the founding member of Young Roots Nepal, a non-profit company established by a group of youths to encourage community participation in order to create a sustainable future for all.
