Salett Natalia Martins Miguel was crowned Miss Angola 2019 on 19th October 2019, and now she is the official delegate of Angola in Miss Universe 2019. Salett, who is 20 years of age, emerged the winner defeating seventeen other candidates competing for the crown. In a press conference held after her crowning, Sallet thanked her family support and promised to work towards the fight of fatherhood denial, taking into account that it is one of the aspects that contributes for the citizen’s loss of civic and patriotic values. Angola has won the title of Miss Universe once when Leila Lopes of Benguela was crowned Miss Universe 2011 at the finale of the pageant held in Brazil.
