Miss World Philippines 2013 Megan Lynne Young 23-year-old Filipina gave an outstanding answer that made her stand out amongst the 5 finalists.
Her question was, “Why do you want to be Miss World Philippines?”
Her answer was, “A Miss World Philippines is selfless and in order to be selfless, you need to have a heart. If I win this crown, I will pour my heart and soul into helping others which is what Miss World is: beauty in giving.”
Young went on to win the Miss World 2013 title as well and made Philippines extremely joyous and proud. She was the first ever Filipina to take the international crown home since the pageant’s inception and it was a celebration in itself.
