Konatsu Yoshida was crowned Miss Earth Japan 2021 on 20th July 2021 at the Hotel Tsubaki in Tokyo as she succeeded Miss Earth Japan 2020 Anna Tode to the title.
Konatsu is 27-years-old and stands 170 cm tall and is a professional ballet dancer. Talking about her advocacy, the queen says,” I dream that I want the world to be a place where all children and animals around the world live happily on an earth full of greenery. That is because when I left my country and traveled around different countries as a ballet dancer to realize my dream, I got to know that there are many people in the world who decide to leave their country in order to live a better life. I will never know what the child walking for miles in search of water and the polar bear standing on the flowing ice are thinking about, but I can imagine by putting myself in their shoes. Now that technological innovation is progressing and mechanization is developing, we should think about who we are again, be considerate of others, and protect our mother earth with deep love. This is what I advocate.”
