Umme Zamilatun Naima was crowned Miss Earth Bangladesh 2021 on 24th September in Dhaka as she succeeded Miss Earth Bangladesh 2020 Meghna Alam to the title.
The 20-year-old is an environmental science student at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University. Talking about her advocacy, the diva says,” When I think of a better world, a world that I am going to leave behind for my future generations. I think of a place where people are kinder towards each other and towards the environment, the grass is greener and the air we breathe is fresher than it ever was before we entered this era of technology by making the conscious use of technology itself. Because what is technology if not for our betterment? We do not want technology that makes the human race more advanced, but takes away our home, our dear planet earth in the process.”
