The national Greek beauty pageant institution Star GS Hellas announced that for the upcoming Miss Universe 2021 pageant, Katerina Kouvoutsaki Star GS Hellas 2021, is replaced by Sofia Arapogianni Miss GS Hellas 2021 for health purposes.
Sofia is 22 years-old, stands 174cm tall and studies at Merchant Marine Academy. She is originally from the beautiful island of Greece Ithaca and Odysseus. She was born to a Greek father and Venezuelan mother. She speaks Greek, English and Spanish.
Sofia Arapogianni succeeds Miss Universe Greece 2018 Ioanna Bella who represented her country at Miss Universe 2018. The country did not send any representative to Miss Universe in 2019 and 2020. The country holds one Miss Universe crown under its belt when Corinna Tsopei was crowned Miss Universe 1964.
