Madison Sara Anderson was crowned the new Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 at the Luis A. Ferré Fine Arts Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico. She succeeds Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2018 Kiara Liz Ortega. She is 23 years of age and was also a part of Miss Grand International 2016 where she was adjudged the third runner up.Anderson was born on 10th November, 1995 in Phoenix, Arizona. Anderson studied fashion designing and textiles at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City; since then she began studying marketing and public relations. Anderson previously worked in Saint Kitts and Nevis, helping women who were domestic violence victims.

Anderson began her pageantry career while she was young, following are the titles; she was placed as the fourth runner-up at Miss Florida Teen USA 2014, she won the right to represent Puerto Rico in the Top Model of the World 2015 competition where she was placed as fourth runner-up, Miss Florida USA 2019 where she was placed as the first runner-up behind winner Nicolette Jennings, she later entered the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 competition, representing the municipality of Toa Baja and on 13th June, 2019, Anderson went on to win this international contest. Now, she is all set to fire the stage of Miss Universe 2019 with all her grace and diligence.
