The East Zone finalists will be mentored by Dipannita Sharma. The year 2017 has come up with lots of changes in the format of Femina Miss India pageant. Femina Miss India will be touring across 30 states which would be further segregated into two categories, State Auditions and State Crowning in Each Zone. The first zonal auditions were conducted in the southern India. At the south zonal crowning ceremony, Srishti Vyakaranam was titled as Femina Miss India Andhra Pradesh 2017, Mannat Singh was crowned as Femina Miss India Kerala 2017, Simran Choudhary was adjudged as Femina Miss India Telangana 2017, Ruhika Dass was titled as Femina Miss India Karnataka 2017 and Sherlin Seth was crowned as Femina Miss India Tamil Nadu 2017.

Currently, the organisation is busy selecting the finalists of the northern zone. Femina has also brought down the height criteria. to 5.5” and above. Since, the Miss World Organisation itself states that they don’t really take the height into consideration while selecting the winner, it was only wise to bring down the age criteria down. This will again increase the probability to find a suitable contender to represent at the Miss World pageant.
