It’s all hustle and bustle in the Femina office these days. And why not, with the Femina Miss India 2017 in full roar, we just cannot hold our excitement of the new format. This year is witnessing a slow and gradual unveiling of finalists.

Thanks to the new format where we will see Femina touring across 30 states in the nation, hand picking the participants. The selection then gets segregated in two categories, State Auditions and State Crowning. To do this the country has been sliced off into 4 zones, namely North, South, East and West. Each zone has got its esteem and prominent figure as mentor, who have been a part of the beauty pageant world. This has set the expectation bars high, because the grooming and polishing has started from day one. Talking of the North zone mentor, we have Neha Dhupia, Fashionista and Actor, mentoring the zonal finalists.

However, talking of the state auditions, Femina is on spree to finalize the state winners. With the finale not very far away, we have already got our finalists for southern and eastern zone and state auditions of the North zone are in full swing. Recently at an event hosted in Hotel Fortune Inn Riviera, Jammu & Kashmir, we witnessed a bevy of young aspiring ladies taking part in the Jammu State finals. The show was judged by Peter England Mr. India, 2016 1st runner up Viren Sushil Barman. The contestants were put through a number of rounds to be selected for the state final.

Finally we got Sana Dua, Avantika Choudhary and Medha Arora emerging as deserving winners of Femina Miss India Jammu 2017. According to Viren Sushil Barman, it was quite impressive how the contestants had come prepared and were absolutely confident of what they had to do.

Once all the finalists for the zone are selected they get to train with Neha Dhupia to win the final event. It would be interesting to watch the fight among the 4 zones to be at the top.
