The organization of Mexicana Universal hosted the coronation ceremony on 29th November 2020 at Hotel Misión Grand Juriquilla Santiago de Querétaro where Andrea Meza who represented the state of Chihuahua was crowned as the new Mexicana Universal 2020 and earn a chance to represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2020.
Karen Bustos who represented San Luis Potosi at the competition was crowned Mexicana Universal Charm 2020 and will be representing Mexico at Miss Charm International 2020 which is scheduled to take place next year. She is 22-years-old and stands 182 cm tall and is a student of the Bachelor of Commerce and International Business, as well as a student at the Eugenio Cobo Artistic Education Center who works as businesswoman and a professional model. She replaced Ana Luisa Martinez as Mexicana San Luis Potosi 2019 at the competition.
Karen is not new to the world of pageantry as she represented Mexico at Miss Earth 2017 where she was highly appreciated for her strong performance but unfortunately wasn’t placed at the end of the event finale. The diva’s communication skill is very impressive and persuasive as she speaks fluent English. She is very strong, confident, and determined to win the title and make the people of Mexico proud by performing her best at Miss Charm International 2020.
Along with Mexicana San Luis Potosi 2019 Karen Bustos being crowned Mexicana Universal Charm 2020, Mexicana Nuevo Leon 2019 Andrea Bazarte was crowned Mexicana Hispanoamericana 2020, and Mexicana Oaxaca 2019 Ángeles Castro crowned Mexicana Latinoamericana 2020.
The diva has once mentioned that she has dealt with how complicated and disheartening bullying is but with some personal life projects, seeking for help and growth, accepting, loving, and valuing yourself for what you are internally is how one can overcome the trauma. She mentioned that her super power as a woman is to empower and maximize the potential of people and she would use the platform to empower people.
Karen feels that the platform given to her will help her to not only empower the people around her but herself as a human and a model. She strongly believes that an individual must keep working constantly to make efforts in order to make their dreams come true. She believes in, “Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.” Karen’s family is proudly supporting the queen, watching her steps, accompanying her in this successful career and she is very grateful for their constant motivation and support.
With her immense dedication, determination, and focus towards winning, Karen could emerge as one of the strongest contenders for the title and might even win one for the country.
