In an unfortunate turn of events, Miss Belgium 2022 Chayenne Van Aarle was seriously injured as her car crashed into a truck outside Antwerp on Tuesday, 7th February 2023. She was taken to the hospital unconscious from the sustained injuries on her face and the rest of her body, but she is now in stable condition.

23-year-old Chayenne Van Aarle competed at Miss Universe 2022 just a few weeks ago in New Orleans, USA. She was supposed to crown her successor at Miss Belgium 2023 final which will be held this Saturday, 11th February 2023.

According to Van Aarle's boyfriend, Nicolas Geniets, Van Aarle left his house in Waasmunster, East Flanders on Tuesday afternoon and was driving on the E17 motorway when a truck suddenly slowed down in front of her. She was unable to brake in time and crashed into it.

"She has serious injuries to her face and the rest of her body. She was hit in the lungs and also suffers from internal bleeding, but according to the doctors, she is in a stable condition. Doctors are currently removing glass from her neck area”, Geniets explained.

The Miss Belgium Organization also confirmed that the beauty queen is now ‘on the mend and everything is going to be fine’. Last month, Miss Wales 2022 Darcey Corria also suffered a broken pelvis and two broken bones in her neck following an accident near Bridgend.
