The finale of Miss Danmark 2022 was held on Sunday, 28th August 2022 at the Shiny Star in Valby, Copenhagen where Malou Peters from Næstved was crowned the new queen.

She is 20 years of age and bested 32 other contestants to win the national crown. The newly crowned queen works at Hunkemöller and is also a substitute teacher in a primary school. She will now have the opportunity to represent Denmark in an international pageant which is yet to be announced.

Maja Bach and Zaara Naaz Ahmed were the first and second runners-up respectively while Cecilia Matine Larsen and Victoria Arvin Lautrup completed the Top 5 finalists.

When asked what beauty is to her, Malou answered, "Beauty for me is being able to show empathy for other people. I think that the fundamentals of beauty is to be able to possess qualities such as being present and meeting other people at eye level. I believe that the most important thing about beauty is that actions and thoughts come from a loving place, within the individual. As well as having the will to want to make a difference for other people who need help."

Malou succeeds Miss Danmark 2021 Johanne Grundt Hansen who relinquished her crown at the end of the event. Miss Danmark Organization, headed by former beauty queen Lisa Lents, holds the national license to send representatives to Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Grand International, Miss International, and Miss Supranational.
