Miss World Philippines 2022, the 11th edition of the national pageant, was held tonight in the Mall of Asia Arena where Ashley Montenegro was crowned Miss Eco Philippines 2022 as she became the official representative of Philippines at Miss Eco International 2022.
Ashley Montenegro is the daughter of Cara Subijano who won as Binibining Pilipinas World in 1994 and landed in the Top 10 in the international finals. Ashley is a Junior at the Endurun College pursuing a degree in Entrepreneurship. She opened two businesses in preparation for her internship next year.
Right now, she is focused on her pageant journey with the Miss World Philippines (MWP). She's trained with the Aces & Queens camp and is learning the ropes with Jim Ryan Ros of Culture Salon.
Along with her, four other women were crowned; Gwendolyne Furniol from Negros Occidental was crowned Miss World Philippines 2022, Alison Black from Las Piñas City was crowned Miss Supranational Philippines 2022, Ingrid Santamaria from Parañaque City was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2022, Beatriz McLelland from Aklan was crowned Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2022. They will go on to represent the Philippines in their respective international competitions abroad.
Runners-up include Marikina City’s Justine Beatrice Felizarta as Miss World Philippines Tourism 2022, and San Juan City’s Cassandra Bermeo Chan as Miss World Philippines Charity 2022.
Last year, Kathleen Joy Paton was crowned Miss Eco Philippines 2021 as she represented Philippines at Miss Eco International 2021 and ended up winning the international competition. Congratulations to the newly crowned queen.
