Miss World Philippines 2022, the 11th edition of the Miss World Philippines, was held tonight at the Mall of Asia Artena, where stunning delegates from all over the country competed for the coveted national crowns and the opportunity to represent Philippines at international beauty pageants.

At the end of the event, Gwendolyne Furniol from Negros Occidental was crowned as the new Miss World Philippines 2022. Apart from the new queen, Ingrid Santamaria of Paranaque city was also crowned as Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2022 as she succeeded and was crowned by Reina Hispanoamericana Filipina 2021 Emmanuelle Vera to represent the country at Reina Hispanoamericana 2022.

Ingrid Santamaria or also known as Sam Santamaria is a 25-year-old corporate professional. She graduated from De La Salle University and under her belt is graduating as a cum laude with a degree in Communications. She loves to travel, explore other cultures, and is a certified beach lover. She’s an athlete and a writer. Sam was also able to work in Marketing PR and E-commerce before joining the pageant industry.

Last year, Emmanuelle represented Philippines at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2021 pageant and was adjudged as the third runner-up. For this year’s edition, Ingrid is strong, skilled, and passionate and will definitely prove to be a strong contender for the international title.

Ingrid will now prepare for her international stint at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2022. Reina Hispanoamericana is an annual beauty pageant celebrating Hispanic heritage, language and culture. The reigning Reina Hispanoamericana queen is Andrea Bazarte of Mexico.
