In a recent announcement made by the official Facebook page of Miss Grand International, Sheyla Quizena Nieto was announced as the new Miss Grand Colombia 2018. She will now represent Colombia at Miss Grand International 2018 to be held on 25th October in Myanmar where Miss Grand International 2018 Maria Jose Lora will crown the next winner.
Genesis Andrea Quintero Pérez was originally crowned Miss Grand Colombia 2018 on 11th February 2018 during the event finale. It was the first independent event for Colombia to choose its representative to Miss Grand International 2018, earlier one of the finalists of Miss Earth Colombia used to get selected.
But now, Sheyla has replaced Genesis and will assume the duties as the national representative. She succeeds Miss Grand Colombia 2017 Francy Yurany Castaño Suarez who was Colombia representative at Miss Grand International 2017 last year but remained unplaced.
Born in the year 1997, Sheyla is 21 years old and stands tall with a height of 171 cm. She is an International Business student with the Universidad del Norte. She is bilingual with the ability to speak Spanish as well as English. During her free time, she likes playing volleyball and soccer. Sheyla also loves to dance. She has been described as a cheerful, optimistic and passionate person.
