Miss Universe Iceland 2021, the 6th edition of the national pageant, was held last night i.e. 29th September 2021 at the Gamla Bio, Ingólfsstræti 2a, 101 Reykjavík where Iris Freyja Salguero was crowned Miss Supranational Iceland 2021. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Supranational Iceland 2020 Dísa Dungal and will represent Iceland at Miss Supranational 2022.
Iris Freyja Salguero is a Spanish-Icelandic beauty queen who gave a stellar performance at the national competition. Her father is from Spain while her mother, who primarily raised her, is from Iceland. Iris is a fluent speaker of Icelandic, Spanish and English. This was Iris’ first time competing in a national pageant and with her abilities, she proved to be the perfect contender for the international crown as she will represent Iceland at Miss Supranational soon.
Also at the finale, Elísa Gróa Steinþórsdóttir was crowned Miss Universe Iceland 2021 and became the official representative of Iceland at the upcoming edition of Miss Universe. Her court included Hulda Vigdísardóttir, Elva Björk Jónsdóttir and Elin Stelludóttir who were adjudged first, second and third runners-up respectively.

Eva Ruza hosted the national competition while the accomplished panel of jury incharge of crowning the new queens included Kendra Champagne, Kirsten Regalado, Elizabeth Safrit Bull, Caroline Frolic Absalom, Laylah Loiczly.
The contestants who competed for the national crown were Elva Björk Jónsdóttir, Isis Helga Pollock, Tinna María Björgvinsdóttir, Maríanna Líf Swain, Elin Stelludóttir, Sylwia Sienkiewicz, Klara Rut Gestsdóttir, Karen Ása Benediktsdóttir, Sólveig Lilja Brinks Fróðadóttir, Sandra Dögg Winbush, Alexandra Mujiatin Fikradóttir, Íris Freyja Salguero Kristínardóttir, Bojana Medic, Sunneva Fjölnisdóttir, Thelma Rut Þorvarðardóttir, Elisa Gróa Steinþórsdóttir, Kara Sól Einarsdóttir, Hulda Vigdísardóttir, Hekla Maren Guðrúnardóttir Baldursdóttir, Sara Maria Sepulveda Glascorsdóttir.
