Polina Tkach was crowned Miss Ukraine 2017 at the conclusion of the grand finale held on 6th September 2017 at the National Palace of Arts "Ukraine" in Ukraine. She received the crown from her predecessor Miss Ukraine 2016 Oleksandra Kucherenko. Apart from the crown and the coveted title, Polina received a cash reward of 700 thousand hryvnias. With this victory, Pauline has also gotten the privilege to represent Ukraine in the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant to be held on 18 November 2017 in Sanya, China.
In the same event, the title of Miss Earth Ukraine 2017 went to Diana Mironenko while Ksenia Chifa finished as Miss International Ukraine 2017. The positions of “Vice-miss of Ukraine” (first runner up) and the second “Vice-miss” (second runner up) were given to Iryna Tkachuk and Emilia Shakh, respectively.

Polina is 18 years of age and stands tall at 176 cm. She is a student of International Business at the National Aviation University in Ukraine and aspires to become an entrepreneur in the future. Polina, who belongs to Kiev, has an inclination towards sports, painting and ballroom dancing.
In addition, Ilona Mamchur received the title of “Miss Photo Model” and Maria Ivanova became “Miss Online 2017”. The title of “Miss Jetsetter” and “Ms. of Spectator Sympathies” went to Yulia Karpets and Darina Mitchenko, respectively.
Ukraine has never been able to have any titleholders in the Miss World pageant till now, so this year Polina Tkach has the opportunity to make her country proud by winning the first Miss World title for Ukraine.
