Laos’ exceptionally detailed national costume for Miss Universe 2021

The 70th edition of Miss Universe pageant, Miss Universe 2021, is set to be held on 12th December 2021 in Eilat, Israel where Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

The delegates are in the last leg of pre pageant activities and are already done with the head to head challenge. Contestants are currently underway with the judge’s interview round and next up is the much watched out for national costume round, set to be held tomorrow at 7 PM (local time).

 

 

Laos’s Jenny Tonkham Phonchanheuang revealed her national costume for tomorrow’s competition on the auspicious occasion of her country’s national day, i.e., 2nd December, 2021. The beautiful dress is tailored and designed by Thipphaphon Vedsaphong, Nop Saphone Chanthavong and Do Do Latsavong respectively.

“The Lao national dress ‘The land of the voice of the land of Champa’ that offers the uniqueness of the nation and a combination of creativity to stand out in the Miss Universe 2021 by Ms. Tonkham Phonchanheuang, Miss Universe Laos 2021. The set is made of Lao silk, fresh red, gold, real gold, painted with unique patterns of Laos, such as That Luang in Vientiane, the pattern of the serpent in the temple, the specific pattern available at Wat Xieng Thong, Luang Prabang province. Lao Can, which is designated as a World Heritage Site and is the pride of the Lao people Flowers, national flowers are adorned with crystal seeds, indicating the diversity of Laos. The head hut is the shape of That Luang which is the mascot of the Lao people,” the organization revealed the idea behind the costume on their social media.

 

 

26 years-old Jenny stands 176 cm tall and is pursuing a graduate level degree at the University’s International Finance and Accounting faculty. Jenny often helps society to distribute food to the Community Foundation of shared water to the poor - people begging on the street, split into nutrients dry doctors during outbreaks of disease Clovis 19 and also volunteers to help victims of natural disasters in the past and receive the Thailand Digital Award for Outstanding Actress in Digital Empowerment in 2020.
