A Muslim Miss Universe GB contestant will become the first to adorn a Kaftan in the swimsuit round of the contest. Muna Jama, a lovely contestant told the organisers that she would not feel at ease around on stage wearing a bikini and they luckily agreed to let her appear in the beauty pageant. The finalist, from Forest Gate, London, said, “I wouldn't wear a bikini to a beach, so I'm not going to wear one in a competition to score points.”

Actually, wearing a swimsuit does not go in favor of her religion and rather than challenging the organisers, she withdrew from the competition earlier. Her experience of seeing the migrant crisis during visits to Egypt and Somalia provoked her to take part in the contest this year with the objective of raising awareness. She said, “I felt induced to help so many people travelling to Europe are from Somalia, where I was born.”
“These pageants are associated with beauty and modelling but over the years there has been a platform for other females using their platform differently.”

“What I wanted to do was to raise awareness of what I have been working so hard for.” Muna added. She is one of 40 contestants who will compete in the 3 days final in Cardiff next month. The winner will represent Great Britain in the prestigious Miss Universe 2017 beauty pageant.
The beauty will surely be able to rock the stage with her simplicity and determination. We wish her all the best and may she be successful in fulfilling the desire. We admire her courage and eccentricity. What are your views on this? Do write your opinion in the comments section below.
