As Malaysian beauty Kiran Jassal is preparing herself for the gala Miss Universe 2016 finals, the 2017 contestants of Miss Universe Malaysia are also dedicatedly competing to be the next MUM. Miss Universe Malaysia also known as The Next Miss Universe Malaysia is here with its 2017 edition, and the finale is slated to be held on 23rd February 2017.

A total of 18 delegates are vying for the crown this year, and girls are leaving no stone unturned to mark their niche and clinch the prestigious title. The Organisation is also making sure to train its beauties well for the finals, so that whosoever wins the crown is well groomed and prepared to hail the reign. 25 year old Erica Tan hailing from Labuan enjoys dancing. The gorgeous Malaysia beauty is a Cabin Crew with Emirate Airlines. The beauty stepped out of her comfort zone and left her job behind with the hope that she will empower women to believe in themselves. Courageous, adventurous and helpful are the terms that can be used to describe Erica.

Standing tall at 171cm, Erica grew up on a small island and has learned to find pleasure in the simple things. Other than dancing, Erica also enjoys playing sports and occasional photography. She believes that everyone should make use of their talent when they are young. It is her dream to inspire and empower young women to be independent and encourage them to dream.

The gala finale is slated to be held on 23rd February 2017 at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The winner will represent Malaysia at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant later in the year. In addition to the crown, the winner of Miss Universe Malaysia 2017 will also receive RM50,000 and sponsored prizes worth over RM150,000. Who do you think will win the coveted title this year?
