All the 18 finalists have gone through a series of Preliminary competitions and activities. From photoshoots to visiting places to attending various challenges, the girls have done it all. But, recently, the Organisation decided to throw an interesting challenge for some of the girls, which is equally nerve wracking and gave the girls a taste of what it would be like to be one of the Miss Universe finalists. Yes, the Organisation decided to ask some the contestants the question pitched during the Miss Universe 2016 finals to the Top 3 finalists, and here is how the girls answered it...
So the Question was, “Name something from the course of your life that you failed at, and tell us what you learned from that experience...

Answered by Ollemadthee Kunasagaran, "Failure to me are stepping stones to success, because when you fail, you are one step closer on the right path to success. When I was younger, I failed to love myself when I was bullied. I failed to see that they are only trying to bring me down because they were intimidated. It took me years to rebuild my self confidence but I came out stronger than ever. Today, I help other teens who face the same issues, I help them see the bigger picture of things, that failure is actually a blessing in disguise to push you out of comfort zone so that you be the best you can be."
Dana Low answered, “When I was younger, I dreamt of being a national badminton player. I trained very hard for many years but never made it to the top. Being young and defeated, I decided to quit and regretting it many years later. Failure is part of the road to success and that the only time we truly fail is when we don't try. I'm grateful for that experience as it made me the tenacious young lady I am today who never gives up on her dreams and I want to encourage you to never give up on yours.”
This is what Gina Phillips said, “Something that I have failed at over the course of my life is not taking chances or opportunities because I didn't believe in myself. Fear, shyness or lack of confidence would hold me back from stepping out of my comfort zone and I would shut the doors of opportunities that were presented to me. During this time, a quote that really spoke to me was "Whether you think you can, or think you can't-you're right." I realized that if I didn't try, I would have no chance of learning, let alone succeeding. So I began to embrace the opportunities and overcame my fears. This experience has taught me to be brave, stay positive, to chase big dreams, and most importantly to always believe that I can. And I always encourage others to do the same.”
Erica Tan said, “The lowest point of my life was a lost relationship. I choose to forgive, let go and move forward. It was the toughest for as long I have lived but I thank god for these unique life lessons.
Through it I learn to hold on to my dignity, be grateful those who love me, and step out of my comfort zone to achieve my dreams.
Moving forward, I would like to empower women and girls do not give away their power”
Michelle Soin was asked to describe Confidently Beautiful... to which she answered, “Confidently beautiful is knowing who you are and not afraid to let your true self shine through. It is about having confidence on what makes you unique."
