Michelle Dee, the Philippines’ representative to Miss Universe 2023, has launched her own foundation called the Global Spectrum Initiative (GSI). The foundation and its cause is too close to her heart because her two brothers are on the autism spectrum.
Michelle has always been an advocate for autism awareness. Her foundation will now be dedicated to create a place that will be inclusive of everyone and build a strong community for people on the autism spectrum.
The Filipina beauty took to the stage at the Philippine Blockchain Week 2023 this week at Marriot Manila to talk about her advocacy. However the Blockchain week came under scrutiny as a fake ‘Miss Universe Coin’ was supposedly introduced which was denied by the official Miss Universe organization.
However, Michelle was present there solely to launch a special art collection of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) by Filipino artist Marius Black to raise funds for her foundation. The proceeds from the collection will be used to build the first Spectrum Sanctuary in the Philippines.
Michelle will be represented Philippines at Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, which will be held in El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
