Miss Venezuela organization, through their official social media, announced that Diana Silva Miss Venezuela 2022 has been confirmed to represent her country at Miss Universe 2023. The decision was made by the official Miss Universe organization after a thorough review.

Diana Silva was crowned Miss Venezuela 2022 at the finale held on 16th November 2022 where she represented the Capital District. Diana is 25 years of age and a part of the cabin crew by profession. She is also an advertising student.

The English translation of the announcement is as follows –

“The Miss Universe Organization confirms Diana Silva as the Venezuelan representative for its 72nd International Pageant. Over the past few weeks, executives from Miss Venezuela met with the directors of the Miss Universe Organization, to review the selection criteria and voting protocol that has been utilized over the past five years in the selection of Venezuela's representative for the Miss Universe International event. After thorough review, the Miss Universe Organization confirms Diana Silva as the winner of Miss Venezuela 2022 and thus the candidate for the Miss Universe 72nd pageant. This conclusion was reached after reviewing the tally of points from the judges during the event as well as those of the selection committee that works with the candidates during the months leading up to the event.”

The finale date or venue for Miss Universe 2023 is yet to be revealed. It will be held in the last quarter of 2023 where the winner of Miss Universe 2022 crown will pass over the crown to the new winner. The Venezuela’s representative at Miss Universe 2022 is Amanda Dudamel.
