Priyanka Chopra represented India at Miss World 2000 on 30th November 2000 at the Millennium Dome in London, United Kingdom and was crowned as the winner at the end of the event finale. She was crowned by Miss World 2019 Yukta Mookhey also from India and became the fifth Miss World and the second consecutive winner from her country.
Priyanka went onto become a mega star when she stepped into the Bollywood industry and has inspired millions of people like her who dreams to be on the top and work very hard for it. Today, the actress and the beauty queen surprised her fans and followers by posting a teaser of her upcoming memoir, ‘Unfinished’ to be published by Penguin Random House India. Priyanka’s memoir is a collection of personal essays, stories, and observations of the diva in her journey from her childhood to being a beauty queen and then a successful actress.
After teasing her fans with blank posts on Instagram with the caption, “Something’s coming”, the actor has now shared a short video giving a glimpse of her journey from living in Bareilly to becoming a Miss World. The queen that brought the crown back home captioned the video on her social media; “#unfinished.” The video opens with an unseen childhood picture of the beauty queen; a young girl striking a pose for the camera. It goes on to show another picture of Priyanka from the day she won the Miss World 2000 title. She is seen giving the audience a flying kiss as she stands tall in her crown and sash with Miss World written on it. She has shared another video from her college days.
Priyanka had mentioned about her memoir in August when she stated, “The book comes from an extremely personal, introspective space. “’Unfinished’ is finished! Just about sent in the final manuscript! Wheee! Cannot wait to share it with you all. Every word in my memoir comes from a place of introspection and reflection into my life. #ComingSoon.”
Priyanka who welcome changes in her life as a new experience went onto create a history with winning the title of Miss World 2000, is now a big name in Bollywood and has carved a niche for herself in Hollywood as well. She runs a production house in coordination with her mother, Madhu Chopra and is married to American singer Nick Jonas with whom she resides in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka will next be seen in her upcoming Netflix film The White Tiger. Apart from that she also has a Netflix's superhero film We Can Be Heroes and a film with actress-comedian Mindy Kaling in the pipeline.
