Miss World 2013, Megan Young has been roped in to select the Miss World Philippines crown. She will not be designing the crown but will help in choosing the best. “Boss lang!” she joked at the Miss World Philippines press conference.
She is yet to meet the jeweler who will be designing the crown for Miss World Philippines which will be unveiled at the finale night. Along with the sparkling new crown of Miss World Philippines, other crowns will also be unveiled. The crowns will be unveiled for Miss ECO Philippines, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas, and Miss Multinational.
But, Young will only be choosing the crown for the prestigious Miss World Philippines for the lucky winner.
The MWP National Director Arnold Vegafria also claims of a “larger and superior” pageant this time with a new theme song. The director also revealed a new beneficiary for the pageant which is the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Centre.
With this, a new format will be launched too. MWP General Manager shared the important activities to be included as well. The activities will be Brand Fashion Show, Sports Challenge, Charity Gala Night, Beach Beauty and Charity Day.
The winners of the challenged will be advanced to the semi-finals. The results will be announced on coronation night on 3rd September at the Mall of Asia Arena and will be telecast on GMA Network on the same night.
