Puteri Indonesia 2019 has now opened registrations for beauty queen who wants to represent their nation in international beauty pageants. The Puteri Indonesia Organization took to their social media to announce the news and released the registration form in their site, along with the eligibility criteria.
The Organization crowns Indonesia’s representatives to Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Supranational. The winner of Puteri Indonesia competes in Miss Universe, the winner of Puteri Lingkungan competes in Miss International and the winner of Puteri Pariwisata competes in Miss Supranational.
Eligibility of the participants was also mentioned, which are as follows -
1. Must be Indonesian citizen between the ages 18-25 years
2. Unmarried, female/female employee
3. Must have the minimum height of 170 cm
4. Participants of the area must be domiciled or come from the region she represents
5. Must have general as well as broad knowledge about Indonesia's Tourism and Culture, as well as the Environment
6. Must be attractive, beautiful and intelligent
7. Must be able to communicate in a foreign language for added value.
8. Special expertise or achievements in a field, like dance, music, voice, leadership and language, will be prioritised.

The reigning queens of Indonesia are Miss Universe Indonesia 2018 Sonia Fergina Citra, Miss International Indonesia 2018 Vania Herlambang and Miss Supranational Indonesia 2018 Wilda Octaviana Situngkir. While Miss Universe 2018 and Miss Supranational 2018 are yet to hold their coronation ceremonies, Miss International 2018 saw the representative of Indonesia secure a position in the Top 15, but unfortunately, not any further.
While Indonesia is yet to win the titles of Miss Universe and Miss Supranational since their commencement, the nation did bring the Miss International crown home in the year 2017 when Miss International Indonesia 2017 Kevin Lilliana was declared the winner.
